Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-75ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface, needs light to germinate

Starting Indoors:  Start indoors 8-12 weeks before the last frost. Provide 65-75ºF soil temperatures. Provide 70-75ºF soil temperatures until germination. Transplant after the last frost date,10-12” apart.

Sowing Outdoors: Direct sowing outdoors is not recommended

Care: Water seedlings regularly until established. When grown in containers coleus needs to be fertilized and watered regularly. During the heat of summer, they will need to be watered a few times a week. Apply a liquid fertilizer every 2 weeks or use a time-release fertilizer at planting time.
